The Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (the ‘Alliance’)

Founded in 2017, the ‘Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment’ (the “Alliance”) seeks to promote highly impactful academic research on sustainable finance and investment.

The Alliance consists of 28 global research universities, each with expertise in this emerging field.

Each year the Alliance aims to organise the major annual academic conference on sustainable finance and investment internationally. The objectives of the Conference are broadly as follows:

  1. to support the development of highly impactful academic research on sustainable finance and investment,
  2. to develop academic collaboration between researchers internationally working on sustainable finance and investment, and
  3. to nurture the growth and development of graduate students and junior academics working on sustainable finance and investment.

The Alliance has a Board elected by representatives from each Member University. The Board is currently co-chaired by Professor Rob Bauer (Maastricht University) and Dr Ben Caldecott (University of Oxford).

Presentation of the Partnership

EDHEC Business School joined Global Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI), the global network for cutting-edge research on sustainable finance and investment on June 9, 2020.

The partnership underscored EDHEC’s commitment to this area, just a few weeks after presenting its new strategic plan – ‘Impact future generations 2025’ – and unveiling its strong ambitions in the sustainable finance field.

Lionel Martellini, Director of the EDHEC-Risk Institute, and Gianfranco Gianfrate are the two professors named EDHEC representatives on the GRASFI Organising Committee.
