Founded in 2017, the ‘Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment’ (the “Alliance”) seeks to promote highly impactful academic research on sustainable finance and investment.
The Alliance consists of 24 world-class research universities, including institutions such as Yale University, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University of Zurich, and is dedicated to promoting rigorous and impactful academic research in sustainable finance and investment.
Each year the Alliance aims to organise the major annual academic conference on sustainable finance and investment internationally. The objectives of the Conference are broadly as follows:
The Alliance has a Board elected by representatives from each Member University. The Board is currently co-chaired by Professor Gianfranco Gianfrate (EDHEC Business School) and Uli Volz (SOAS University of London).
EDHEC Business School joined Global Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI), the global network for cutting-edge research on sustainable finance and investment on June 9, 2020.
The partnership underscored EDHEC’s commitment to this area, just a few weeks after presenting its new strategic plan – ‘Impact future generations 2025’ – and unveiling its strong ambitions in the sustainable finance field.
In July 2023, Gianfranco Gianfrate is appointed as Co-Chair of the Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI). Professor Gianfrate, a renowned authority on internal carbon pricing, was previously a Director to the alliance. This new appointment celebrates his expertise and underscores EDHEC Business School's continued commitment to advancing research in the field of sustainable finance.
