Charles Hyde from NZ Superannuation Fund appointed as a new member on EDHEC-Risk IAB

EDHEC-Risk Institute is pleased to announce that Charles Hyde, Head of Asset Allocation at the New Zealand Superannuation has joined its international advisory board, which brings together distinguished scholars, representatives of regulatory bodies as well as senior executives from business partners and other leading institutions. Mr Hyde is the successor to David Iverson, who was the previous occupant of NZ Superannuation' seat on the board.

 

“We are extremely fortunate to have Leong Sing on the advisory board. He will bring a breadth of experience and insight to the group, said Lionel Martellini, Director of EDHEC-Risk Institute.

 

The Asset Allocation team is responsible for the design and implementation of the Reference Portfolio and the active risk budgeting framework, as well as the modelling of portfolio and liquidity risk.

Prior to joining the NZSF, Charles held the roles of Head of Quantitative Research at MIR Investment Management and Head of Equities Research at CBA in Sydney.

Charles has a PhD from U.C. Berkeley and began his career as an academic at the University of Melbourne followed by the University of British Columbia.

 

The role of EDHEC-Risk Institute’s international advisory board is to consult on the relevance and goals of the research programme proposals presented by the centre’s management and to evaluate research outcomes with respect to their potential impact on industry practices.

The 33 members of the board also advise on the objectives and contents of projects deriving from the expertise of the research centre.
