Building on the legacy of the EDHEC-Risk Climate Impact Institute, ECI strengthens its expertise in climate finance and expands its capacity to support private and public decision-makers in managing climate-related financial risks.
The renewed ambition of the Institute is to help long-term investors better understand the impact of climate change on asset prices and investment management, and design efficient climate action strategies and policies. It will also continue to strengthen its recognised expertise in physical risks and climate transition risks, now with a particular focus on supply chain emissions (Scope3), consumer choices, and emerging technologies.
It has a long track record as an independent and critical reference centre in helping long-term investors to understand and manage the financial implications of climate change on asset prices and the management of investments and climate action policies.
As part of its mission, ECI collaborates with academic partners, businesses, and financial players to establish targeted research partnerships. This includes making research outputs, publications, and data available in open source to maximise impact and accessibility.
